HISTORY
Hungarian beauty care is legendary. Throughout history, divas and royalty have traveled from all over Europe to indulge in Hungarian skin care techniques and exclusive thermal springs to rejuvenate their skins, minds and bodies. Known as the food and agricultural center of Europe, the country has arguably the best soil and geographical elements on the continent, making it the ideal breeding ground for potent and effective ingredients.
The spa culture was born out of fertile soil and the desire to maintain the radiance of the beautiful people of Europe. During war times, the country stood strong and took care of itself through perseverance and strong trading tools – organic ingredients and products among these valuables – and today these beauty secrets are offered worldwide.
If you stroll through Hungary’s many markets today, you’ll witness a rich tapestry of fruits and vegetables of every color on display. Juicy tomatoes, apples, cherries and a dizzying array of peppers from hot red to luscious light green line the crowded stalls. If you are lucky, the wise country women, or “Nenike", will dispense age-old wisdom of the many uses of herbs and fresh produce in homemade remedies. Organic living is still a way of life in Hungary, with villagers carting their home-grown fruits and vegetables to the markets before dawn to sell as they have done for centuries.
The Éminence tradition began in Hungary more than 50 years ago in a small village where family knowledge of using herbs, fruits and plants in natural remedies spanned generations. This unique awareness of medicinal plants was enhanced with skin care innovation to produce natural products that are true to both organic enthusiasts and results-oriented clients. Today the precious ingredients are still hand-picked and hand-mixed in small batches and are combined with thermal hot spring water to create products that contain potent healing and beautifying properties.

Éminence is committed to giving back to the community and those in need through charitable contributions and support. Since our inception we’ve proudly donated millions of dollars to social services like the organizations listed below, adding to the list every year. Some of our greatest alliances lay with these important associations:
Special Burn Unit of San Antonio Massage Clinic – Since 2008 Éminence has donated more than $150,000 worth of our Stone Crop Collection to help heal burnt and injured American soldiers on the path to recovery with the help of Jann Henry from San Antonio who generously donates her facilities, staff, supplies and time to these American heroes.
Breast Cancer Foundation - Éminence has always been a proud supporter of Breast Cancer research and since 2007 has made an outstanding contribution of over one hundred thousand towards research efforts. For every Sweet Red Rose Whip Moisturizer purchased, Éminence will continue to donate $5 to the Canadian and American Breast Cancer Foundations.
Stanley Park Recovery Fund - When 20% of the forested area in Vancouver's historic Stanley Park was leveled by high winds in 2006, Éminence donated funds and labor to help plant trees and rebuild the National landmark. With our donation we were part of the team that restored the park to its natural beauty, for all of us, and for future generations to come.
